She has a postgraduate diploma in education as well as a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in English.
She has worked in all the ranks and files of education in Akwa Ibom State. She taught school for 12 years, worked in the Ministry of Education for 5 years, and worked in the State Universal Basic Education Board for 5 years before moving to other Ministries.
She was appointed Permanent Secretary by the Akwa Ibom State Government and posted to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development, a position that gave her the opportunity to work with children in a non-academic atmosphere.
She was posted to the Deputy Governor’s Office as Permanent Secretary and Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor till her Retirement.
Her passion for education led her to establish All Grace Schools, which is one of the fastest-growing and most after institutions in the State. She is the author of three books used in various educational institutions in the State.
